The Anti-Poem

What a bunch of bullshit
We teenagers pass off as art
We pretend that our thoughts are
Complelely original but
Yet they're as old as time

Yes, this is an anti-poem,
Meant as an antidote to all the
Anti-Life statements we make
Throughout our anti-happiness
Days

Does that make me a hyprocrite
And this an artifice?
Can a poem possibly criticize itself,
While still legitimizing itself?

I don't know, but what I do know is
That the world needs more anti-poetry,
More hope, less despair
But most people just don't care.

Here's to anti-poetry
Hope
Responsibility

Interesting poem.

Yeah, it is an interesting feeling to remember that you can do whatever you want. The only thing is that the government or people might kill you, so it might be worthwhile to make sure you know what you're doing.
